I hope you are starting to think about the Fringe this year because we are and we have some great things planned and here is a preview of what we have coming up this year.

First of all we’re gonna take a run up to the Fringe by hosting Pre Fringe and visiting artists at the Pear Tree in Edinburgh and we are inviting everyone to come along and Get Involved with Edinburgh Fringe Live. We’ve teamed up and with the Ragged University and are really pleased to welcome Alex Dunedin who has joined Gus and I in filming the street acts and venue acts of the Fringe this year.

We are holding open social classes at the beer garden to teach media skills in order to enable people to get involved. We’re going to be teaching in a real life situation where we will be filming acts on the stage live to the Internet and we want to invite you to come along and get involved. Our invitation extends to bands and acts that would like the opportunity to perform during the month of July. So whether you are music, poetry, dance, comedy, theatre or an artist we want you to come along and take advantage of playing on the stage in the beer garden. We’re even going to turn the stage into a gallery for artists and we have lots of space for anyone who wants to hold workshops.

So you can guess that we’re pretty excited and we want you to come along and get involved. So if you’re feeling creative this summer and you want a great social event to express it then look no further, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Remember to share with your friends and let anyone know that you think may be interested.

So drop in and say hello, we’re there for the whole of July so I’m sure there is a day or two that you can come along. Drop us a line if you have any questions and remember if you are an artist and you want somewhere to perform then get in touch and we’ll make it happen for you,
